Sweet Peppers: Sweet peppers are not very spicy at all and they contain few capsaicinoids which is what makes them so sweet. Most of the sweet pepper varieties have been developed by breeding pimento type sweet pepper plants with hotter varieties in an effort to reduce the heat often associated with this group of vegetables. Some people prefer to eat their sweet pepper raw while others like to prepare their sweet pepper through roasting or cooking it on the stove top or an oven.*
