1 Tablespoon Adobo Seasoning (or the Adobo Mix)
2-3 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons of Vinegar
3/4 cup of water or beef broth
Directions: Put Soy Sauce, Vinegar, and water or beef broth in a saucepan over medium heat until it comes to a boil; then add the Adobo Seasoning or the Adobo Mix and stir until everything is dissolved. Basic Adobo Seasoning Mix
Makes about 1/2 cup; enough for 1 pound of meat.
This basic seasoning mix can be used on fish or chicken. To use on fish, add 1 1/2 teaspoons to 2 cups water and simmer for 10 minutes before using as a marinade. For chicken, add 2 tablespoons to each quart of cold water; bring to a boil before using as a marinade.
