Garam masala can be made using any combination of spices and herbs! So it really depends on your mood or preferences as to what you want to season with it. Some people prefer to use just one spice, ie: cumin or coriander, while others enjoy using a mix of both together.

There are many different combinations that are possible when making garam masala at home! Here’s a few recipes for a delicious spice blend:

– 1/2 cup black pepper (coarsely ground)

– 1/4 cup cumin seeds (coarsely ground)

– 1 tbsp turmeric powder (or more if desired)

– 1 tsp red chili powder (or less if desired)
