Now that people are looking for the best spice grinders, we want to give them a better idea of what they can do. Read more to learn why you need a coffee grinder:
1. Coffee grounds are actually quite aromatic, and the flavor and scent of your coffee largely comes from the oils in the coffee grounds. Grinding coffee allows you to expose more surface area of the coffee beans, allowing you to unlock all of their potential flavor and aroma.
A manual grinder is also an amazing tool for producing fine grounds for things like Turkish coffee, which should be “the consistency of very thick mud.”
2. For optimal flavor and aroma, it’s important not to burn your coffee beans and grind them at the right time. If you grind your beans too soon after roasting, they’ll simply taste burnt; if you wait too long, they’ll already have lost much of their flavor. Additionally, depending on how long ago they were ground, ground beans will lose their flavor over time.
Grind your beans just before brewing to ensure optimal flavor and aroma!

OPINION: No matter where you buy your spices, the chances are that they will not be fresh. They may have been harvested a long time ago and kept for months or even years before making it to your kitchen.
The chief enemy of fresh spices is moisture. Even if you place them in an airtight container as soon as they reach you, they will still go stale within a few weeks if they are exposed to too much moisture.
That’s why I strongly recommend purchasing your own spice grinder. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy – the important factor is the ability to grind spices into a fine powder.
If you choose a manual grinder, make sure that it has a ceramic or stone surface inside so that your spices do not get burnt and lose their flavor.
If you prefer an electric grinder, make sure that it has at least 10 settings so that you can use it for different types of spices. I also recommend getting one with a stainless steel blade as this will ensure that the residues from previous grinds do not mix with the next ones.
After using your new grinder, remember to clean it thoroughly with warm water and dish soap (you can also run some vinegar through if you want). Make sure you dry it well

Reading for writers can be as simple as skimming over an article in The New Yorker or picking up one of the hundreds of how-to books on the shelves today. Reading can also mean reading every single page of a book, even if you don’t agree with it.
Reading is one of the few things that raises your level of writing without any effort on your part besides reading.
