Tips & Tricks for the Best Homemade Pizza

Making pizza at home is an excellent way of having a quick, delicious homemade meal. With a little experimentation and practice, you can make some great homemade pizza that your whole family will enjoy. Here are tips and tricks for the best homemade pizza.

Portion out your dough – The amount of dough for each pizza will depend on how thin you like your crust, whether you like it thick or thin. For most pizzas, 8 ounces of dough is plenty, but if you’re making a large-size pizza, try using 12 ounces instead.

Use a pizza stone – This is essential for the best results. A pizza stone absorbs moisture from the dough so that the crust does not become soggy or chewy like it often does in a pan. You can use any kind of stone for this purpose, including granite or marble slabs. If you don’t have one of these, try putting a cookie sheet upside down over your baking sheet to create an improvised pizza stone.

Make sure to preheat it well – Preheating your baking sheet/pizza stone before placing the dough on top is essential in order to get crispy crusts and bubbly toppings! Be sure to let it heat up for at least 30 minutes before adding anything else in order
