Hello and welcome to the Teen Movie Halloween Costumes blog. Here we will be showcasing a series of teen movies to get you in the mood for Halloween. All of these costumes are easy to make, require little to no skill and will have you looking like a movie star in no time!

There is no better way to get ready for Halloween than to watch one of your favourite teen movies. So why not and pick out a costume that you would like to wear this year.

Here are some great suggestions we have…

The Breakfast Club: The popular girl’s costume is an easy one. You will need a few items including a pink pencil skirt and white blouse, blonde hair extensions, diamonds and pearls, as well as some roach spray (for after the party). Be sure to top off this look with a pair of black heels and a Chanel bag!

You’ve Got Mail: This is a cute look that many people can pull off. For the outfit you’ll need an oversized sweater, plaid skirt and some good old-fashioned loafers. Accessorize with lots of jewellery including earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Finish up the look with red lipstick and some brown eye shadow!

A Cinderella Story: Who says

I’m trying to think of some of the greatest costumes I’ve seen in teen movies and I can’t really find any. I mean, I love John Hughes’ movies (heck, they’re pretty much the reason why I started making costumes) but none of his characters have any great costumes. Can you think of any other good ones?

I know there’s a ton of great costumes out there and I’d love to see them! Please leave your examples in the comments or tweet me some pics at @homemade_costumes.

Hitch: This classic romantic comedy has both male and female iconic outfits which are sure to impress everyone at the party. For men, there is no better choice than Will Smith’s debonair suit and

I’ve seen at least a few of these costumes on the web and in stores this year. I especially loved the Mean Girls costume that was being sold in stores.

The blog has so many more great ideas to find costumes from movies like  The Breakfast Club ,  Legally Blonde ,  Sixteen Candles ,  and more.

This would also be a great place to go for fun Halloween party ideas for teens. It’s hard to think of a better way to spend a night than watching your favorite teen film with friends and then creating your own inspired look.

“Crazy (Tiffany)” from 13 Going on 30: If you’re “crazy” about your high school sweetheart, this costume is for you. All you’ll need is a white button-up shirt, some red fabric, black tights, and lots of energy. You can wear any hairstyle you want for this one—make it fun!

“The Wiz” from The Wiz: Dress up as Dorothy Gale by putting on a shimmering yellow dress and grabbing a straw hat. If you don’t have the means to create a ruby red slipper (or if they’re uncomfortable), just wear some bright red shoes. Put on blue eye shadow to mimic her famous blue shoes, too!

“Janis Joplin” from Almost Famous: This costume is perfect for anyone who wants to be a little bit grungy and a little bit glam at the same time. All you’ll need are some bell-bottom jeans or pants, a black and white striped blouse, a few necklaces (you can use ones you already own if you don’t want to buy new ones), and lots of hair spray in your hair!

“Michele” from The Craft: You’ll need a black crop top or undershirt for this
