It’s a mystery. The question is, why does the Spice World brand cost so much?
It’s not just the price. It’s the fact that it’s so expensive relative to other brands. It’s incredibly hard to find another brand that compares in quality.
The first thing that strikes you is the color. It has an almost burgundy hue to it, almost like it was soaked in red wine.

You can’t wait any longer, you need to try some! You scoop up a small amount from the jar and put it on your tongue and close your mouth to savor the flavor…and then you realize that this spice mix isn’t spicy at all! In fact, it doesn’t have any kind of flavor at all! None whatsoever! And yet, somehow, this spice mix still tastes good!

I did some research and found out that the Spice World brand is owned by Spice Islands, which is owned by McCormick and Company. The reason that Spice World costs more than other brands is because they use more expensive ingredients. For example, other brands may use rosemary while Spice World uses Spanish rosemary. It also contains more expensive spices like fennel seeds, basil, and black pepper.
Other spice mixes may be cheaper because they contain fillers like cornstarch or sugar to give the spice mix body and bulk. Spice World does not have these fillers so it costs more money to make (and buy!).
Spice World is a mix of spices, garlic, salt and other seasonings. It was developed in the 1970s by American company McCormick & Company. It is the brand most commonly associated with pre-made spice mixes and can be found on grocery store shelves across the country. But why is this brand so expensive?
