We’ve even used it as a rub for beef ribs!

It’s not spicy at all so the kids love it too.

Taco seasoning is a mixture of ground spices used in Mexican cuisine that is used primarily to season chicken, beef, and vegetables. It can also be used to season beans or rice.

Taco seasoning is popular in the United States, particularly in the preparation of Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. There are many different recipes for taco seasoning, but most blends include ground cumin and chili powder.

Taco seasoning can be used in a variety of dishes, including tacos (hence the name), burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and nachos. It can also be used as a dry rub for meat or vegetables. Taco seasoning can also be used as a base for chili con carne.[1]

In the United States, it is also common to purchase commercially prepared taco seasoning mixes in packet form at supermarkets.

Taco seasoning is a spice mix that’s great to have on hand any time you’re whipping up some Mexican food. It’s especially helpful when making tacos, of course, but can also be used as a shortcut for other dishes such as burritos and enchiladas.

You’ll need to gather the following ingredients: 2 tablespoons chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin, 1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper.

To make the taco seasoning just measure out each of the spices into a small bowl and stir with a fork or whisk until well combined. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 months. To use the taco seasoning mix in place of store-bought packets simply add 2 tablespoons of the mix plus 1/4 cup water to your dish where it calls for one packet of store-bought taco seasoning.
