Welcome to my blog all about how to make everything but the bagel seasoning in a brown paper bag. I realize that this may seem like an odd topic to choose for a blog, and honestly, I agree with you. It is pretty weird. But I don’t care, because I am passionate about this topic and I find it fascinating. My hope is that by the end of this blog, you will too!

I am going to break this down into several sections so that we can go over each aspect of making this seasoning mix in a brown paper bag. Ready? Let’s do this!

Section 1: The Bag

Section 2: The Ingredients

Section 3: The Mixing

Step 1: Put the ingredients in the bag.

Step 2: Shake the bag vigorously until all of the ingredients have combined into one uniform mixture.

You can buy a Everything but the Bagel Seasoning in a bag or jar, but it’s much cheaper to make your own. You can also make it at home in a brown paper bag. That’s right, a paper bag.

I have no idea why the recipe calls for you to put your seasoning mix in a brown paper bag, but I’m not complaining. It’s so easy to do. And it gives you an excuse to use up all those brown paper bags you have lying around!

Shake everything but the bagel seasoning is hands-down my favorite spice mix to put on everything (but the bagel). It’s a copycat of Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Seasoning and it only takes a few minutes to make! I buy the ingredients in bulk and keep them in jars so I always have it ready to go. It’s got everything: salt, garlic, onion, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds.

I use this copycat spice mix on eggs, salads, avocado toast with a fried egg, sandwiches, roasted veggies…you name it! And if you want to make things even easier for yourself when you want to add some seasoning to your food, you can make your own shaker by putting everything into a brown paper bag and shaking!

All you need are 5 basic ingredients that are easy to find at any grocery store:

salt**

garlic powder**

onion powder**

sesame seeds**

poppy seeds**

All you gotta do is measure out the ingredients and mix ’em together in a bowl. So simple! Since this recipe only makes about 1/4 cup at a time, I usually quadruple or quintuple the recipe so I have plenty of seasoning to use over

You can buy Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel seasoning. Or if you want to make it yourself, here’s how!

I’ve been on a big everything bagel kick since back when I was in college. I kept hearing about these “everything” bagels and eventually I snagged one and took a bite…and my mind was blown. Then I found out they were just plain old regular bagels covered with this magical dust called “everything but the bagel seasoning.” Then my mind was re-blown.

I’ve tried a few different recipes over the years, but have never really been satisfied with any of them until now! This is the closest thing to the real thing I’ve found and you can make it in your own kitchen with just a handful of ingredients.

You’re going to need:

* sesame seeds

* dried garlic flakes

* dried onion flakes

* coarse sea salt flakes

* poppyseeds
