Easy Do-It-Yourself Mexican Chilli Recipe

The Mexican Chilli Recipe is based on the classic and traditional chilli recipe, ever since I was a child I watched my mother cook this food and now it is part of me. This chilli is well known worldwide as a perfect comfort food, it has a lot of nutrients that help our body be stronger.

Why should you cook your own Mexican chilli?

The answer is simple, because it’s so easy to do.

Many people don’t like cooking and therefore don’t bother. But preparing your own chilli at home is one of the most satisfying things you can do. It’s that easy! You just need to follow a few simple recipes and you’re ready to go.

You’re probably wondering what kind of chilli recipe I’m going to use for this blog post. Well, it’s the classic and traditional chilli recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation in Mexico for centuries.

It’s the same recipe that is used by many Mexican families today. And it’s still just as good as it was when my grandma first started making it all those years ago!

The difference between a soup and a stew is that soups contain more liquid than stews. A chili con carne is therefore a stew. To make a chili con carne, we need some ingredients:

– 500 g minced meat (beef) or chunks of beef (stewing steak) cut in small cubes

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 1 onion

– 1 tablespoon ground cumin

– 1 teaspoon chilli powder (or 2 fresh red chillies, seeded and finely chopped)

– 1 teaspoon crushed dried oregano (or 3 sprigs of fresh oregano, leaves only, finely chopped)

– 1 teaspoon paprika powder (preferably smoked paprika powder)

– 2 tablespoons plain flour

This recipe is for a traditional mexican chilli. It tastes great and is very simple to make.

You can make this chilli with or without meat, I prefer it with meat, so I’m going to show you how to make it with meat. If you want to make it without meat, just leave out the meat, simple as that!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 pound of ground beef (or if you want to be really authentic use 1 pound of British minced beef)

2 onions

3 cloves of garlic

1 cup of rice (uncooked)

1 teaspoon of cumin powder (you can get this at most supermarkets these days)

1 teaspoon of salt (you may want more or less depending on your taste)

The Mexican chilli is the perfect dish for a party. It is delicious and full of flavour, it has a lot of ingredients, but very easy to make. You can choose from a variety of toppings to add on top of your chilli. Some popular examples are: guacamole, jalapenos or sour cream.

For this recipe you need: 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 onion (finely chopped), 2 cloves of garlic (crushed), 500g beef mince, 400g tinned chopped tomatoes, 125ml red wine (optional), 2 teaspoons ground cumin, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, 250g kidney beans (drained and rinsed), 4 tablespoons fresh coriander (chopped).

Step 1: Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until soft. Add the mince and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Step 2: Stir in the tomatoes with their juice and break them up with a wooden spoon. Add the wine, cumin and chilli powder. Simmer gently for 10-15 minutes until reduced slightly.

Step 3: Stir through the beans and coriander and season to taste with salt

800g/28oz canned chopped tomatoes (in tomato juice)

400g/14oz canned red kidney beans, drained and rinsed with water

1 large onion, roughly chopped (about 175g/6oz)
