5 tablespoons curry powder

1 cup rice

3 cups water

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 tablespoon vegetable oil


In a large saucepan, add 3 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to boil and add in 1 cup rice. Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes; stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and cook for additional 20 minutes. Rinse rice under cold water; drain well. In a large pot, heat 1/4 tablespoon oil over medium heat and add 5 tablespoons curry powder; cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add in the cooked rice and combine well with the curry powder. Serve hot or cold as desired.
