It’s hard to figure out how to pitch this one. I feel like I should be saying “for fans of X,” but I have no idea what that would be. Anyway, it’s just a blog with funny quotes from a certain someone (if you don’t know who that someone is, you should really go read the description).
It seems entirely possible that the people who find this blog will not find it funny, since some of the humor is highly specific and references things like off-color jokes on late-night infomercials. But I think there’s a chance it will be funny to enough people to make it worth including.
He’s been known for his wit, and recently, this has been taken to the next level. At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Obama said:
“For example, I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be. I am gray now. *Just* gray. But I have been treated more kindly by the press than any Democratic president in my lifetime.”
So here’s a blog that goes around finding quotes from our former POTUS and spreading them around the internet. It’s hilarious to read quotes such as “I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family.” And also, “I’m Barack Obama and I approve of this message.” Dabbing on their faces…

A week or so ago a certain someone said something that made me laugh. I’m not going to call him out on it, but I am going to quote the joke since it’s too good to keep to myself.
Description:It’s a long quote, with some background circumstances and reference names at the beginning, so I’ll just give you the punchline first: “I cannot let that slide.”
What he said was (to someone else): “You’re afraid of the consequences of your actions. You’re a coward.”
To which the other guy replied: “I cannot let that slide.”
The other guy had just been arguing that his saying something didn’t mean he was responsible for it. The other guy was right about that, but the first guy called him a coward anyway.
You’d think an accusation like that might merit some kind of comeback, right? Like maybe a little anger, or some denial? Something like “How dare you call me a coward!”? Or even “I’m not afraid!”? But no! The instant he heard it, the other guy knew it was true and said so.
In other words, he admitted it to be true! And then he added his own twist by saying, “I cannot let
I had an idea to write a short story about how someone “doesn’t get” the social media, but I’ve changed my mind and I’m writing about this instead.
I’m not sure if I should name names, so I’ll just call him . . . . . . . . . . Mr. Z.
He’s a real person, who “doesn’t get it.”
What’s he not getting? Social media. Facebook, Twitter, etc.
It’s all pretty simple really, but he doesn’t get it.
I am going to be sympathetic and try to help explain it to him.
And then I’m going to write a blog about that exchange.
A few days ago I was browsing through my favorite social bookmarking site, stumbleupon.com. As I clicked on the next link in the recommended bookmarks I noticed that it took me to an interesting blog post. It was a simple quote from someone and as is my usual habit, I checked out the author of this quote and was stunned to realize that it was from none other than Steve Jobs!
Truly, whole cloves!?!?
For those of you who are not familiar with this quote, here’s a little background about it. It was said by Steve Jobs in 1997 at Macworld Expo New York. He was referring to Microsoft which at that time used to bundle Internet Explorer into its operating system. Jobs referred to this practice as putting whole cloves into a product and then selling it for just one dollar! This caused quite a stir at that time and put Microsoft on the defensive for a while.
